Air pollutants including particulate matter (PM), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone (O3) often exceed the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) in India. In spite of several initiatives in the country, air pollution has remained a significant problem.

The sphere of the Foundation's activities include issues related to health, education, livelihood, environment, Skill and Social Development Programmes. IDC Foundation is currently engaged in imparting training and consultancy in a number of areas of human endeavors.
The workshop methodology include plenary sessions, meetings, demos, presentations, projects and solutions. It will also give opportunities for one to one meetings, group discussions and networking. Students are encouraged to submit papers and participate in large numbers.
